Explain the dusty work, which rooms or openings were affected and whether the HVAC system operated during it. Ask how further dust entry will be controlled and how the observed condition will determine the assessment or cleaning scope. Separate building cleanup from system work and request a record of the components addressed.

Building age and weather cannot establish duct contamination. The system itself needs to be inspected.
